Astana will go out on the night distance

On September 5, the capital will host the mass Night Run night race. The race will start at 8:00 PM at Triathlon Park, with participants set to cover a 5-kilometer distance.

The race is open to both experienced runners and those who are just starting their running journey. Participants can look forward to an evening of sports, music, activities and the unique atmosphere of Astana at night.

Participation is free, but the number of places is limited — organizers have allocated 1,700 slots. Online pre-registration opened on September 2.

Registered participants will be able to collect their race number and lottery ticket on the day of the race from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Triathlon Park.

At the same time, motorists will not need to change their usual routes: the race will take place entirely within the territory of Triathlon Park, so there are no plans to close city streets or restrict traffic.

Night Run is held with the support of the Akimat of Astana, the Office of the Akim of the Almaty District, the Astana Department of Physical Culture and Sports, and the Directorate for Sports and Mass Events.

The event aims to promote mass sports and encourage an active lifestyle among residents of the capital. In the first half of 2026 alone, Astana hosted 21 running events and marathons, as well as five cycling races.
