In Astana, the older generation has the opportunity to study, engage in sports, and discover new talents
Astana’s Active Longevity Centres are becoming spaces where older residents can not only socialise, but also learn new skills, stay physically active and explore new interests.
The centres offer a wide range of clubs and activities, including sports, dancing, singing, crafts, chess and language classes. This gives residents the opportunity to choose activities based on their interests and spend time with like-minded people.
Visitors come with different experiences and interests. Some learn a foreign language, others discover a new creative hobby, while many continue to stay physically active. The centres also support creative groups that take part in competitions and city events.
Social interaction is another important part of the programme. Regular activities help residents maintain social connections, meet new people and remain an active part of city life.
Active Longevity Centres now operate across all districts of Astana, providing older residents with opportunities to stay active and continue learning at every stage of life.
A new skill, a new friendship or a new hobby — age should never be a barrier.
