Athletes from Astana continue to win international awards

August was a successful month for representatives of the capital’s sports community. Astana athletes delivered several strong performances on the international stage, adding new medals to the city’s collection.

At the end of August, athletes from the capital successfully competed in international and national competitions. Among their latest achievements were a victory by an Astana tennis player at an international tournament, strong performances by the capital’s tennis players, as well as two silver medals won at the World Championship.

Another notable achievement was the performance of Astana athletes at the Asian Triathlon Cup, where representatives of the capital won gold medals.

These results demonstrate that the capital remains one of Kazakhstan’s leading sports hubs, with both grassroots sports and high-performance disciplines continuing to develop.

Today, Astana’s sports infrastructure serves as a venue for citywide, national and international competitions, while athletes from the capital continue to represent the city at major tournaments.
